Rimms for a RST
« on: April 09, 2011, 02:36:38 PM »
I have just ordered a RST, The Grizzly css 32h Rimms I would prefer are out of stock, Is the Andra css 32H over Kill for a RST, would I be better with the DT Swiss XR 425 , no heavy touring involved.

wanted the css because it looks good with the black rimms.

Thanks PT88

Yep, Andra rims are overkill for the RST. DT rims maybe a better option..

Thanks Brummie

If going with the DT Swiss XR 425, would the Schwalbe Marathon Supreme 1.6 be ok for this set up. reading through this form most RST owners have specked  Grizzly css,  not having much experience of Bike specks etc dont want to make a very expensive mistake and end up with inferiour bike due to bad choise of parts.

Thanks PT88

I use Marathon Supreme 1.6 / Grizzley CSS combo ( Strong reliable, reasonably fast rolling & just one puncture ( Glass ! ) in a couple of thousand miles... ) The DT Swiss XR 425 rims are lighter than the Grizzley & will be fine for 'lightweight' duties.
