Panniers
« on: July 31, 2009, 09:07:40 PM »
Can anybody please recommend a pair of medium-sized panniers suitable for commuting/bits of shopping every now and then that will fit properly onto the Thorn carrier on my Sherpa?  Black preferred, doesn't have to be waterproof and I don't really want to spend £100 or so on more technology than I need right now.

Any suggestions appreciated.

Try Altura, rugged though not totally waterproof, was very happy with mine for 6 or so years, and they didn't really need replacing bar one or two minor signs of wear, just wanted a matching front pair so went for ortliebs at twice the cost, possibly a little much if you're only intending everyday use.

I know they cost more but you cant go wrong with Ortlieb back roller. They are very strong easy to fit and are usually the first choice for serious touring/comuting.
