new front light advice

has anyone used the cateye lamp's yet (single shot) if so how do you rate them.
what good lights are out there that's worth buying  (front)thank's in advance..jags.

...and to add to jags' query, I see there are two single shot models available, one a bit more pricey - it would be good to know how they compare.
