I've just fitted new SKS 55mm mudguards to my Thorn Sherpa to provide adequate clearance for my new Schalbe Dureme tyres. Consequently my old Berthoud mudguards are surplus to requirements.
You can see the mudguards
fitted to my Sherpa in this post - they really look quite smart.
The 'guards are in good condition save for a small dent in the rear (could easily be knocked out). There is also a small hole I drilled in the rear 'guard for my dynamo cable.
'Long' refers to the front 'guard which extends 10cm -12cm more than a normal mudguard.
I ran them with 26" 42mm Marathon Supreme tyres (actual width 38mm), but the size is actually 650B, which is what Berthoud recommend for medium width 26" tyres (which they define as 33mm - 41mm).
All components for direct fitting are included.
SJS sell new Berthoud mudguards for £56 plus postage. I'm happy to send these to a fellow Thorn user for £20 including postage.
Thanks for looking and don't hesitate to ask any questions.
