Hi Anto,

I have been desperately trying to get some photos sorted of my JOGLE, but I have been without a stable internet for almost 6 weeks now. We have had engineers out 3 times, but still not sorted. Our signal is very, very low and keeps dropping out. God help you if you try and do anything involving pictures or videos. Some nights I have been able to log on for a few minutes and some nights not at all and its driving me mad now. We signed up with BT Infinity to improve the speed, what a laugh!!

You've managed to miss out the opening square bracket before  /img] at the end of each link - it should be this: [/img]

John.  If you think that's bad wait till you see what I've done to the Sherpa you sold me.  I'll post a photo shortly.

Most of Scotland was pretty amazing and I would love to discover more of the Islands at a more leisurely pace. Dumfries and Galloway was pretty too.I also enjoyed the Chester area and a lot of Cheshire was gorgeous, much of it fairly flat but gaining the hills as you head towards Shropshire. Fancy cycling in the Yorkshire or Derbyshire areas, though I didn't cover these on my trip. Lastly of course much of Wales is beautiful if somewhat hilly.

Ireland is beautiful cycling country if you know the local area's well ,but when the Celtic tiger was here most of the land  was destroyed with big fancy  housing estates which are now left abandoned and   taking over by the banks.
theres a lot of women in the local cycling group,  i took them on routes they never knew about, lots of hills but there all strong riders and love there cycling.

yeah i would imagine the UK is very similar to Ireland for cycling exception been Scotland still seems to be wilderness in them there parts.

Dumfries & Galloway is a really beautiful part of Scotland, used to be a campsite near the visitor centre in galloway forest, though it is around 15 years since I was last up those parts so not sure if it is still there.  Hopefully get to a few of the islands next year - Mull / Islay and if time permits Arran.

anto,
I live near Edinburgh, it is 90 miles of very pleasant cycle camping to Dumfries for me.
I think the next CTC KM rally is scheduled for May 22-25 (2015) based at Barnsoul campsite, see you all there…
