I really was listening......
Taking ALL your advice into account I ended up buying a pair of Schwalbe Marathon Supremes ( wire bead ) for the princely sum of £32.95 for the pair.....seemed good to me.
They dropped on in no time and roll so much better than the OE ‘Giant’ branded junk.
