$2000+ for a Rohloff hub from Australian suppliers versus $1120 delivered from Germany when I bought both of ours. That is an awful lot of service backup !!  :o

In recent years the on-line sales boom seems to have persuaded the Rohloff distributor to push their price down to around $1600, but I still lack confidence in their value.

I really think this may be bullocks. Suppliers like SJS, Bike24, RoseVersands etc are all routinely doing on-line overseas sales and Rohloff must be well aware of this. Rohloff has an international backup service and provides repairs/replacements on warranty to all sorts of international travellers. I doubt they interrogate all on their place of purchase and whether they were in or out of country at the time.

Hi il Padrone,
1st off it was not Bullock! Rohloff asked all wholesales to only sale in their home land. (I have find out that late last year this has changed)
Yes to International backup and Service I know that Chris (from Puresports NZ) has been ask from Rohloff to repair/replace parts on Cycle Tourist for overseas.
So I find out that Rohloff is more lay back about who sale there Rohloff Hub's and Too where in the World! So I was right and NOT anymore Sorry

How I have to say next time check out Chris price on any Rohloff Speedhub's or Parts  :o with the New Zealand dollars you will be saving money on your Germany prices!

That OZ price is far too high! this is the price that Cycle Shops in New Zealand till anyone who ask about a Rohloff Hub $2000 to $3000 is the STD price that I hear when asked about my Rohloff Hub! Wrong I have to say to them. But it is good because I Sold off my 1st Rohloff for more then a New Rohloff  :o

Pete

Always asked how I find it (Rohloff)?   I say at the Rear! ;D
