Well, you asked for it...  quoting my rubbish from Oct 2012.

Well, since 1998, we now have air bag helmets:

wooden helmets:

painted bicycle helmets (to ward off evil spirits)?

and high fashion bicycle helmets:

In my never humble opinion, there has been plenty of progress in
bicycle helmet design since 1998.  Users have also found additional
uses for bicycle helmets, such as:

and the one you're probably looking for:

Shrunken heads are popular in some countries.  In theory, a folding
bicycle helmet would be easier to store, which would make it more
convenient to carry, and therefore may inspire more people to use
them.  Ideally, it should fold up to fit in my jacket pocket, but
that's unlikely.  However, if you insist on transporting eggs in your
helmet, here's how:

I think this one is no longer being made:

"More chic, more practical" but only 56% funded.

"Stores easily in backpack, bag or large briefcase"

The bad news:

This one might be useful for an inflated ego or to cover the bandages
from the last crash:

Helmet inspired by nature, for those that insist on an organic helmet:
