Featured in this edition:

Last year’s WCR Grand Tour champion Mike Hall is coordinating the Transcontinental this summer. An unsupported competitive ride between London and Istanbul will see racers tough it out in the Alps en route to Turkey under a doubtless blazing August sun. We disclosed the details of our likely involvement earlier in the year, and are happy to report that around 40 racers are already confirmed, among them Juliana Buhring, who as a WCR rider last year set the Guinness record for circumnavigation by a female.

So, while not as complete as past Despatches, a bit of fresh reading and a chance for a 10% discount. Not a bad exchange for an online registration.

That didn't take too long; Brooks' server couldn't handle the demand and crashed. If you want the 10% discount, you'd best wait a bit to apply, else the connection will time out.

The still all-time best deal on Brooks saddles is Thorn's option when purchasing a new bike. Can't beat it!

I just tried several times to check on Brooks luggage and couldn't get past the opening page. Thanks for the explanation. -- AJ

Ha ha. I read this the wrong way! It will take some convincing for my wife to agree for me to purchase a new bike from Thorn to get the best deal on a Brooks!

It will take some convincing for my wife to agree for me to purchase a new bike from Thorn to get the best deal on a Brooks!

Matt...whatcha do is tell her Thorn is selling Brooks saddles...and throwing in a bike for a nominal upcharge.
