I have never been convinced that any form of vitamin supplement is necessary in a normal diet. Im sure if you search the web you will find studies that suggest it's just marketing hype.
However I am convinced that if you believe something is doing you good then it may well be, whats the downside of taking a spoonful of honey or some vitamin pills?.... None.
The nearest I came to changing my view was a few Years ago when I went to see a doctor about some cramp in my legs I was getting far too regulary, he recommended I eat bananas.....
He was a locum working in Saudi so I thought he was a nut...
Anyway I did start eating bananas regulary and my cramp did reduce.
My partner at the time who was a Nurse said that I was taking on extra potassium which is supposed to help with cramps. I was now a believer in pills etc.
A few Years later I was told that in fact it was more likely I was more conscious of drinking plenty of water during exercise to reduce dehydration (it was kinda hot in Saudi) and not the Bananas, nonetheless I believed at the time it was the Bananas.
The mind is a Strong force, if taking some Honey works for you then I say what the hell..... Go for it
