I have recently test ridden a touring bike (designed and built in Europe) with 35 kg of luggage and wanted to compare its performace with a Thorn bike, ideally a Thorn Nomad Mk2, large frame - am 6'. I know an accurate comparison would require same set up of tyres, wheels, bars, seating etc but would still like to test out a Thorn. I could go to Bridgwater and do it at Thorn Cycles but am hoping someone in the London area (north) may step in and save me a long journey!! I'll travel outside London of course but not too much. I will bring along the non-Thorn bike too fully laden so you are welcome to try this out if you wish.
