AndyB was recently approached by a customer, whose eXp was in the work stand. The customer wanted to congratulate him on a “magnificent piece of over-engineering”. He had covered the length of Africa on it twice, he told Andy that both he and the bike were shot whilst cycling there…his wound has since healed and the bullet ricocheted off his bike!

I have always assumed that the bikes were 'over engineered' so that you could offer the 100 days Warranty Return, but now realize it was in case the armed Forces were interested in a bulk deal?

The bikes are indeed well-built, at a price regarding weight of course - I've easily blown the 20kg limit to Oz with the Thorn racks / Ortlieb panniers etc. etc. - however I may be glad of that bomb-proofness before I arrive back in Perth..and anyway, I'm not in a hurry....
