XTR brakes & Rohloff cable guide

I managed to obtain some NOS XTR V brakes to fit to my Raven Tour. The fronts have gone on a treat but with the rear where the old deore brakes had the Rohloff cable guide bolted to the V brake boss ( http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/rohloff-cable-guide-13-deg-type-to-fit-v-brake-boss-8259-8259-prod11742/ ) with the XTR version this fouls the brake's paralax mechanism.

I know that some Ravens used to come with XTR brakes so presumably there's a work-around, any ideas?
