It isn't about pretty pictures, though these are undoubtedly picturesque towns and well worth visiting and cycling around.

It's about the technical interest of these really very well thought out bikes, with Nuvinci CVT gears, hub dynamos, roller brakes, automatic lighting, baskets, comprehensible instructions in the bottom of the basket, even coat guards to keep your clothes clean.

The availability of these agreeable bikes makes it worth taking a cheap flight to Cork, Galway and Limerick (very windy, I'd prefer the other two, unless you come for some specific event in Limerick) for a day or two just to sniff around, without the bother of packing up your bike and fighting the airline about carrying it.
