I've had my mercury for 2 months 1000 mils now toured north Devon on it upgraded to xt discs and son hub dynamo a superb machine no complaints. use to have sport tour done 42000 mils in seven years on that

How does the Mercury compare to the Sport Tour?

I'm interested because I reckon a Sport Tour with lightweight components should come close in terms of performance, and would be cheaper. I'm used to old-style cantilevers, so not really hankering after disc brakes.
