max weight for my audax.

So sitting here in agony bloody back pain cant get out on me bike i'm cracking up ah poor me.
anyway that not the what i want to say no what i want to know is this.
my audax 853 as seen by many on this forum has a weight limit of which i no nothing off  
so what weigh is going to totally wreck my bike.
if ever i get my arse into gear and decide to load up the bike will 2 loaded rear panniers and tent on rear break the frame ,say roughly 14 lb in each pannier and 8 lb with tent.
im only guessing on the weight i would be carrying but if i were to go with that weight will the frame break.
personally i dont think it will but better to get expert advice before i chance it.

According to the Audax Mk3 brochure, it will cope with 20kg on a rear rack, but less is preferable from a handling point of view.
Your proposed load is around 16kg, so I would imagine you will be ok, although I'm not sure how different the Mk3 rear end is from the 853 rear end.
To be certain, maybe best to email Andy at SJSC.

Mine copes fine as a light tourer, Thorn Audax Mk3's are pretty tough.

I think the rear end of the 853 is a little shorter? Best ask Thorn or check in the archives.
May mean lower weight load.
Don't forget I do have the Saunders Fellpacker at around 2 kilos

john the audax looks strong my only worry is my tent although i like the layout of it looks like the nallo gt2 it is heavy me thinks .
