Just ordered one of the very last bare metal XTC frames Thorn have in stock. There are a couple of XTCs, one each of Audax Classic, EXP and Cyclosportif, and they all are further reduced by £100 from the original sale prices Dave posted above. The XTC was £199, terrific value given it's the best bike frame ever! ;)

All these frames are listed here: http://www.sjscycles.co.uk/page/find/?name=bare%20metal&page=1

I have been looking at this frame and am having fantasies of a new purpose sprayed frame!  Alas I cannot find a brochure with the sizing information for the XTC classic lugged frame.  Can anyone provide some dimensions for this frame?  I am 6'2" rider. Thanks in advance.

Don't know about the XTC Classic brochure and have never seen one in flesh, but I'm 6'2'' and had a 595s XTC with drops - a perfect fit. The one I got now is 595m and will build up with straight bars. The 590m they're selling should be a good fir for you, but best is to just call Dave at SJSC and he'll explain it best.

Just bought one of the clearance frames, not bare metal, this is a red Raven Tour.

It will (at least initially) be built up for utility use (pulling trailer, shopping, etc.) mainly using parts I already have, including a Nexus 8 hub (less grief than a Rohloff if it gets stolen).

All congratulations on the new frames, Martin and Kuba; what a thrill!

Can't wait to see photos of them in the gallery.

Best,

Dan.

been years since i posted but I just bought one of the classic xtc's  ;D nearly bought one a few weeks ago at £299 so pretty chuffed i held off
a couple of posts up it was asked if anyone knew the sizing on the xtc lugged frames, this is what i used to establish it's pretty much identical to my 585 sherpa http://web.archive.org/web/20010309203941/http://sjscycles.com/26solobrochure/solobrochurewebp18.htm hit the index and most of the details are there to, seems 1.75 tyres should work though not recommended

Does anybody know the virtual top tube on the 590M classic?

And the 590M/L other one?

The manfriend is tempted but I can only find 59-5 M/L in the brochure.

He's 6"1' with a 33" inseam.

(and I may go for the 455M it's a bit low but sure...spacers are acceptable on tourers ;)
Pedal to the metal! Wind, rain, hills, braking power permitting ;)
