Seal of approval
« on: March 13, 2014, 11:44:33 AM »
Came across these 2 chaps sunning themselves on a rare warm day here at Aberdeen (UK) harbor.
Tide was low so exposed their sunny spot.
Anyone up on seals?
Think there are quite a few types.

Ps
Anyone like ships?
me too. I could spend hours hanging around the docks, looking at the comings and goings

Never drink and drive. You may hit a bump  and spill your drink

Don't know much about seals in general, but that pair is Jeff and Mary, and generally of an evening you will find them holding up the bar at Shell's No. 7 Rig a bit out into the North Sea there, over Mary's left shoulder.

Here I'm looking after them forlornly as they set off for Aberdeen from the Seven Heads after their Standing Room Only Tour of Irish coastal villages:

You will meet some interestingly dressed women if you hang about those docks long enough!

Hah, not in Belfast.

Come for a short cycle break here, there's an oil platform in the H&W drydock. Very impressive sight.

And the boat tours take you out in the lough.
Pedal to the metal! Wind, rain, hills, braking power permitting ;)
