Father of the bride speech had me shaking in the months before.
I recalled slipping in this one that had the dads chuckling...

When a father  has a daughter he is happy on two days.

When she is born and when she marries.

I think the original is a Russian phrase and the words daughter and marries are replaced with ' boat' and ' is sold'.

Can't go wrong complimenting he mothers of the bride and groom.

' Mums are always there with a cuddle and sound advice.
Days are good too. Always there with a cuddle, sound advice and a big wallet!'

Let us know how it goes and good luck.

Matt…

Congratulations jags! Will all thoughts now be turning to the new bike you've been drooling after thinking about?  ;D

Can hardly blame them--with Montreal just two hours' drive away, why stay in Ottawa?)

Why indeed, John?  :D

The bright lights and big city have always attracted our girls. They grew up in Singleton, a small Hunter Valley mining town. They all made the progression - Newcastle (where our eldest settled and gave us grandkids), to Sydney, to New York! Had there been a bigger town to aspire to, they would have gone there next... :)

Anto - "life is good". Never a truer word was said. And the alternative's not worth thinking about!!  :D
