  well instead of me buying the audax i went and bought mudguards and new light for my raleigh.
so still thornless never heard back from the guy that bought my lot  but i reckon he's happy with the deal of the century.

Hi jags!

Looking at the upside, it's nice to tailor the Raleigh more to your needs, and so the investment isn't wasted even if you were to get an Audax later.

Have you considered a used Audax frame or complete bike? Some really nice examples appear occasionally at prices lower than new.

I'm guessing your buyer is having the time of his life on the Sherpa and planning his travels. What a wonderful lot of gear to go with!

well nearly pulled the trigger on that audax today, but had to hold myself back or the wife would swing for me.yeah i would buy second hand but to come across a bike like my sherpa would be next to a miracle still working on fixing up my raleigh should have parts this week hopefully if i get it the way i want it i'll post you a photo.
