Amazing sights.
« on: September 05, 2013, 07:19:46 PM »
Out for a wee 51 mile spin today. Headed in to Aberdeen UK from my home town of Inverurie.
Came across a bike path near Dyce airport that was a dream to ride. An old railway track, not Tarmac but good hard compact cinders and earth. Managed a good 19mph for quite a few miles.

As I bowled along I thought I could hear music ahead of me from around a slow bend.
Sure enough it became louder when all of a sudden a tandem came in to view.
It was being ridden by 2 guys in kilts, the rear rider playing the bagpipes!

Of all the times not to have a camera!
I was to stunned to note what make of bike they were riding. All I could manage to ask was, "where are you going to?" The answer was, " Up the way and then back again"

Anyone else come close to such a strange encounter?

Matt
