Me? It's better than my current once but it will still be slightly too long...going to wait for a 500S...

Price has dropped by £200.

Because it was as is usual, overpriced secondhand in the first place!
Thorn bikes in my experience are half new price at best when selling secondhand. Old no longer made models are not worth very much at all, possibly because generally speaking, no size information/model details are available.
'jags' keep your Sherpa and just hope that you find work or money or both to buy your coveted (naughty) Audax Mk 3.

i will john .I'm a bit of a magpie when it comes to bike's they have to shine like new .that xtc bike has a lot of scuffmarks on it that would put me off from the start.
actually i went for a night ride wed night on the Sherpa and its a pure pleasure to ride, its not a bike to ride in a group better sticking to solo touring and enjoy it. ;)

On e-bay they go for £450, the new groupset could push price up a little but Deore with bar end shifters isn't expensive to get.

I don't mind scuffs/scratches myself, at least you don't get paranoid every time a new one appears. As they always do due to stone chips etc :)

And sold. So there's still a good market for XTCs.

I shall keep an eye out for a 490S...surely one day...

...but that 853 Audax on e-bay...53 cm TT...should I...

 ;D

:)There is another Audax 853 like the one I want! But I have had to send a message asking for frame size from bottom bracket shell. It is a deceased person sale!
Coincidence?
