I saw this on ebay and thought I'd post link here....

http://cgi.ebay.co.uk/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&item=140948673364&ssPageName=ADME:B:SS:GB:1120

I just can't see the need for it, might save a few minutes I suppose, but for the price and added weight?  ???

It is rather nice though, lol.
 ;D   ;)

I guess one could make an offer in the hope of getting it at a much reduced rate.

When I was researching S&S couplings while trying to decide if I wanted to buy a Nomad with the couplings, I watched a video on YouTube by Lennard Zinn titled "How to pack a travel bike with S&S couplers".  He had one of those and four other couplings on his bike.  He is a tall guy, for example I think he uses 205mm crankarms on his racing bikes.  Maybe he needs all of those couplings for a big frame bike but I can't really see actually needing the one on the stem.

If you need your stem to swivel, get an n'lock for a fifth of the price. The n'lock would allow you to align your handlebars with the frame or the front wheel, making the whole bike, or its front unit if broken with couplers elsewhere, much narrower.

Nor I, Mac, but it is fun seeing such things. Nicely shared.

I can't imagine the coupler in the stem accomplishes anything beyond what's possible with the usual hatch-plate clamp and a 5mm allen key for the steerer. Does look intriguing, but at that price? Goodness!

Best,

Dan.

The only real benefit I can see to a coupler on the stem is that you don't have to adjust bar angle when putting the bike back together.

And, of course, it looks awesome  :D

Are you missing something...? maybe not...

A nice philosophical take on this sort of craziness here....
