Is 3,000 miles too early for a tyre change?
« on: July 27, 2013, 08:13:42 PM »
Quite pleased with the Conti Contact Sport set which were supplied by Thorn - very good urban, not sure they would handle anything but the lightest/smoothest of trails, but a very nice confident ride on tarmac. The rear tyre is starting to exhibit some bumpiness which then smooths out while riding - I can't detect a bulge but wondering when I should consider a new set. Only one puncture (touch wood) and now over 2,000 miles on them. I previously used Supreme or Marathon +, but for commuting was impressed with these tyres.

Ordered a new set, but they were not stocked at sjs - had to track them down via a search
