Yikes, Andre! :o I've watched it twice now, and the horrified fascination hasn't waned.

Best,

Dan.

Wot to say??

Maybe, "Jaysus, Mary an' Joseph," as me Oirish family 'n' friends would say...  Or a parent's mantra, "Sometimes it's best not to look."  Or maybe Naipaul's observation, "New York is like Calcutta with money."

Repeat viewings bring forth Conrad's phrase, "The fascination of the abomination"...

All this, from someone who really does like to visit Manhattan, where we have dear friends of forty years' standing. Can't quite believe I used to ride my bike there -- mind you, I was young(er) and (more) foolish then, & when I had my bike there, we lived in the West Bronx, in the 250's near the Hudson, and I tended to head north to reservoir country, not into Manhattan.

We go regularly for a spot of da cultcha, not so much for the cycling cultcha...

J.

Yeah, I was cycling in Manhattan last summer, my first such venture. Wow! That little film doesn't capture the half of it. It's nuts!
