Is this yours? Abandoned bike found-- Edinburgh
« on: May 28, 2013, 08:52:21 AM »
Hi All!

The For Sale board seems as good as any for someone looking to see if their stolen bike has been sold-on.

SJS Cycles' Facebook page just posted the announcement, "Is this your bike, found abandoned outside a house in Edinburgh", with photo linked here: https://sphotos-a.xx.fbcdn.net/hphotos-prn1/941717_520540924660471_1561645127_n.jpg

I presume a call to SJS Cycles with identifying info would put you in touch with the party currently holding it.

Best,

Dan. (...who hopes this has a good outcome)

Interesting issue. Touches on the former thread about registering your bike with a third, neutral party?
Fingers crossed for the proper owner.

Yeah, Matt. I'm hoping someone, somewhere in FacebookLand doesn't say, "Oh! Lovely bike, it must be mine" and then try to talk their way into it. Must be something not shown in the photo that only the rightful owner can identify...right? Fingers crossed with you for a good outcome.

The whole topic might point out the value of a web URL (address) on the bike...after all, SJS Cycles was contacted.

Best,

Dan.
