(UK) Cycle Show 2012 on 29/30 Sept in B'ham- Discount tickets
« on: September 19, 2012, 11:14:20 PM »
Hi All!

The Uk's largest cycle show will take place weekend-after-next (September 28th for press and insiders, 29th & 30th for general admission).

It should be a corker with a wealth of exhibitors, lots of demos and trick-riding on hand, and the chance to win a bike and stuff and the usual tradeshow swag. I'd give my eyeteeth to make it, but there's the entire US and a large body of water between me and Birmingham.

The event will take place at the NEC (National Exhibition Centre) in Birmingham.

If you're interested in attending, here's the links you'll need:

The planning and travel destination page (with tips, directions, and lodging info) is here:

Root link for the CycleShow is here:

Ticket informaton is here:

And...go here to get advance-purchase tickets at a discount, thanks to Bike Radar:

BikeRadar readers are being offered a special ticket price of just £11.50* per ticket in advance by visiting www.cycleshow.co.uk/book and entering discount code BRD when prompted.  Tickets for children aged 14 and under are £1 with a paying adult. Children under five go free.

*Tickets are normally £13 in advance and £16 on the door. A £1 booking fee will be charged for all advance bookings.

Hopefully, the discount will still work. I set up a faux cart and it appeared to work as far as I got, but no promises as I didn't complete the booking process. Bike Radar also say there will be "...an elite criterium on Saturday and the final Tour Ride, a sportive over 60 and 93 miles run in conjunction with the Tour of Britain, on Sunday. Inside the show, you'll find a new mountain bike pump track, electric bike village, and a VIP lounge where you can meet pro riders, medallists and celebs".  "Mountain bike pump track"?!? Y'gotta see it to find out what it is!

If one of us goes, can you please take a camera and share a few photos on your return so we can see some of the things that caught your eye? Thorn will be there, so their booth is a mandatory stop. Please say "hi" for all of us who can't make it in person.

Best,

Dan.
