Need help on dynamo related project
« on: December 20, 2007, 04:26:58 PM »
I am working on a project which uses rainfall to run a turbine from a height of 50 feet. The turbine is connected to a pulley system and to a dynamo which produces output of 3.8-3.9V. The frequency is 108-110 hz. The dynamo i used is 6V, 3W. I want to charge a battery with the output voltage by using full bridge rectifier and a charger circuit using regulator. The things I need to get information about are..

1. Can 2 dynamos be operated together and the output voltage be rectified separately and then added in parallel to get the current increased or in series to get the voltage increased?

2. Is keeping a load necessary in the rectifier circuit to view the rectified voltage in an oscilloscope?

3. What other electronic applications can be incorporated in the project to make it more useful?
