The third major island in the Tyrrhenian Sea is French (but do not tell the Corsicans that the Corse language is just like Italian). We entered Corsica at Bonifacio's cliffs, then travelled along the entire spectacular west coast. Highlights included Sartene's Corse culture, the beaches around Propriano, Ajaccio's Napoleon legacy, and the rocky coast from Cargese to Porto, Galeria and Calvi. In the north we explored L'ile Rousse, 'le desert' to Saint Florent, and Bastia.
