Expeditioner Ian Wallis doing it again!
« on: May 21, 2023, 08:36:46 PM »
Old mate and sometimes cycle touring colleague Ian Wallis is again pedalling his extraordinarily durable yellow Thorn Nomad far and beyond.
This time he’s riding solo from Canberra Australia to Singapore. He’s already covered well over 2000 km through remote central Australia.

He’s called the tour ‘Unfinished Business’ because he previously cycled out of the SJSC shop in Bridgwater, and kept pedalling until he arrived in Singapore.

I highly commend this entertaining journal. Ian is an excellent writer and photographer.

Thanks, Graham.  Look forward to it.

My People In Queensland tell me it's "cold" there (far from their northern roots as they are).  You keeping warm near the Snowy Mtns?

Sunny and warm here, with summer foliage everywhere. Everyone's a bit giddy, & not 'cos it's Vicky's b'day weekend.

Cheers,  John

Hi John
Late autumn clear skies have brought -5°C nights over our way.  I suspect Ian is really riding to Singapore for warmer weather.
He’s powering along on his heavily loaded Thorn Nomad. He did 147km today!
