It's a lovely bike to ride, effortless gear changes and just glides along.

Please let me know if I'm out on the price, I won't be offended.

I've kept the steerer tube at it's original full length since I've owned it as it's much easier to decide after a period of time whether to cut it down or not.
Personally, I like it just as it is.

The last photo shows it with a touring saddle on it that will come with the bike as well. Much more comfortable than the original one.

Lovely bike at an astonishing price, Pete.

Looks very much like one of the favorite bikes in my own stable.

Best of luck with your sale.

Hi Pete,
I'm just over 5'10".  Do you think this would be suitable for me.  I've had a Thorn club tour in the past.  Solid bike

Yes,you could be out of sync with this sale not because of the price but because of the bike. This bike looks like an 'all rounder',a bike that can take you to work or could take you touring all over Europe. I think there's little market for that theseadays;people are busy doing different stuff and buying different bikes. I think the big sell thesedays are the electric bikes, audaz specific jobs,or still the road bikes. Your bike is seems like an all rounder which has no specialism. This is no criticism of your bike or its price, cos I have the same bike but cant get rid of it...and I've been trying to sell my bike for £200 more!(comes with additional kit tho ;)

Who knows where the market is theseadays. Take away all those who dont cycle anywhere on a regular basis: 95%?. Then out of this figure discount others who are into road, off road, folding cycles. Then those who dont like/trust buying used cycles. Discount more for other reasons. You are probably left with 2 people in the country who MAY look at your machine and price. They probably dont even know about this forum,or go to other for-sale used cycle sites.

Another strange phenomena is selling and gauging the right price to sell your bike. I often look at bikes for sale(tho I now want to get rid of one of my bikes. Maybe I should try to rid myself of two!). Herein, you see the bike and its price and think...that could be a bit high in price;I think I have seen lower. When, then, a bike is selling for a low price you think,is there something wrong with that bike? So,either way, hesitation. Still, that could be just me.

It's hard to tell what the whole cycle scene is like these days. You cant believe the MSM...and as you get older you may lose contact with those that cycle.

I tend to believe that less people cycle these days because those that could or would...now work from home! Still,I could be completely wrong...or right in some parts, but amiss in others.

My riding is now urban,or some touring on folders.

Those that I once knew have their bikes in their garden sheds gathering cobwebs: decreptitude having come visited them. Others have had their bikes taken from them and are now sleeping forever up at the local(church)

Hope it sells. You have to take what the market will offer. Even if its stupid.

Daft myself :-[

Hi Pete,

I don't even know if it is possible to send it across the pond or not. I am in the Atlanta GA area in the US.   I have been looking at the new club tour and saw your add......please tell me, is this the MK4 model club tour.  I am asking because they do have slightly different clearances.   Thanks for the response.
