My RST (now five years old) is getting an upgrade from the original Alfine to a Rohloff, mainly because the bike is going to be used for longer distances than my old commute. Looking forward to evenly matched gears and a real rescue granny gear.
The old Alfine wheel and set up will be recycled into a Diamond Back Ascent which I’ve owned since 1986. I guess the DB will need a matching Zac front wheel.
