The eBay one appears to be missing a front mudguard.

Best,

Dan.

I'm new to cycling and looking to buy a thorn... would this bike be worth it at say £1100?

Swinslon can you explain further? You have a great looking bike btw!

Hi, Steven
Welcome to the Forum.
I think the spec on my bike is superior to the one on Ebay and yet his Buy it now price is higher than my asking price.
If you would like more info or discussion then pm me.

If you manage to get the one on Ebay for £1100 I think that would be a reasonable price. Check the spec out on the Thorn brochure
and ensure it is what you want/need!

Good bidding.
Steve

Hi Steve,

thanks for the honesty. I'm don't understand much in the way of bike specs just yet, but i'm learning.
I think he priced the bike higher to allow for people knocking off some of the cost...

I'll take a good look at the brochure and definitely take a good look at your bike. Thanks again steve! Can i ask, how do people usually fulfil money/bike transactions via the forum if the a bike is being sent and not picked up in person?

Cheers,
Steven

I would  advise that it's better to see the bike in person if at all possible.  Could save a lot of problems in the future.

I agree with Bob.
Its much better to see the bike in person.
If not then it is down to trust.
Many people selling also don't want the hassle of boxing the bike up.
I sold a tandem once and the guy never saw the bike. We just talked on the phone. He sent a man with a van to pick it up. It was strapped down in the back supervised by myself.
The bike arrived as it left me and the buyer was as pleased as punch.
However you have to be careful as its a big ticket item.
