Enduro users?

I was casting my eye over this Enduro frame

Anyone ever had an Enduro? I was thinking it might make a great bike for riding the bridleways et.al. over the winter.
I'll have to check for sizing first but well, it was all that talk of Thorn MTBs that sparked my interest.

Great frame and would be good for this kind of use, and pretty rare too.

Another alternative is a Santa Cruz Charmeleon which is also set up with a eccentric bottom bracket, not a steel frame though.

Ian revists Enduro brochure and hits the tape measure! Comparing the Enduro's numbers with that of my MK 1 Nomad makes for interesting musing. Hmm, be nice to have an off-roader again, but with a rohloff this time!

Rohloff and off-roading are like bread and jam, Ian; they just go together!

One great advantage of the Rohloff on my Nomad Mk2 is I no longer have to worry about a low-hanging derailleur cage catching in brush and sticks and such while riding cross-country. No chainsuck when things get messy; together these make the whole off-road experience more relaxing and fun.

Would vmake a great bike.
The new trigger shifter for the Roholff would work really well.
Makes shifting in technical terrain easier.

Very slick frame, Ian, and a very good price too.  The silver-and-blue colour scheme is always a good one, even on my Norco Monterey hybrid town bike, which somehow lacks the cachet of an Enduro-with-Rohloff, dunno quite why...  Let us know if you take the plunge, and we'll await the photos of the bright-and-shiny finished bike before you hit the mud.
