Wanted: Decent commuting bike
« on: January 25, 2015, 07:34:14 PM »
Hi,

Well I need to replace my commuter bike which seized up this winter unfortunately. I'm looking for something durable and tough, preferably steel with flat handlebars... I'm quite tall, 6ft 2". I'm thinking more mountain bike type frame (not suspension though) so I could use it both for commuting and getting into the hills. Budget around £200 or so.

Also if you just wanted to sell the frame that would be fine.

Thanks

Darragh

I'm Edinburgh based, could travel a little bit but not too far. Happy to pay for postage.

Darragh,
I bought a suitable second hand bike from Dave, might be worth contacting him to see it he has anything.
Dave is based at Aberdour just across the Forth Bridge from you.

Strongly recommended.

Thanks guys, I got sorted with a GT Mountain bike from Common Wheel in Glasgow. Would really recommend them to anyone, very friendly and an excellent community project.... check it out! http://www.commonwheel.org.uk/
