How to change brake pads
«
on:

I was thinking I just needed to slide them out and put the new ones, but I realized my Swissstop blue pads come with some fixing pins. What are they for?
And, sliding out doesn't go easy, should I do more strength or I am missing something?
Thanks!

Pull the pins out with pliers; slide brake pads out. Reverse process to fit new ones. The fixing pins are to stop your pads falling out if you apply brakes and roll backwards (eg. on a steep slope). This can happen and is most disconcerting when you (eventually) discover their absence

When sliding the new pads into place, a few drops of dish washing liquid as a lubricant makes them slide on easier.

Thanks,
After playing for a while with the brake pads I realised about the pin and pull it out.
Puting new pads I found some of my new pins wouldn't find the hole in the other side, but the old ones did.
