The ultimate wet weather accessory

As you all know, it can be a real bind cycling into rain.
Luckily Senz (of wind proof umbrella fame) have come to our rescue … but you may have to buy an umbrella as well.

ps their umbrellas really do work in strong winds, we have several in use within the family.

Terrific, Julian; nicely found!

It would be fun to try one of these brackets for senz°.

You're right; they hold up well against a *lot* of water and don't collapse. See: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=N3O6kmL8x0Q

Best,

Dan.

That is pretty amusing ... maybe if the wind was from behind but then the umbrella wouldn't be doing too good into the rain :)

I don't think this umbrella holder would keep you dry, unless you are riding very slowly.  However, it could be useful on a scorching hot day for a leisurely ride in the sun (provided that you always ride with the sun in the same position).

Don't get it. When I click on the link I don't get any bracket - it just defaults to the manufacturer's Australian home page ??

Ah, I see it now with a Google search.

I reckon the Veltop is going to be a whole lot better at keping the water off, and less likely to get blown away.

Absolute junk....or is it? Protect you from the rain? doubt it.
Fact, you do not need to be seen by a car driver, they always see you, they just don't notice you.
This piece of crap! Will get you noticed. So have it up at all times to make sure car drivers see you!

I see the occasional muppet trying to use an unbrella in Shetland, usually to be found in a bin within a few hundred yards, the brolly, not the muppet!

QED

The bus that picks me up at the cardiac unit at the hospital drops me in front of my town house, literally at the door. When the driver returns half an hour later and he sees me on my bike, his eyes open wide in surprise. It's a Little Old Lady from Pasadena in Her Hot Rod Coupe moment.
