I have used Pitlocks on my Thorn Raven Sport for several years and had no problem with them. I had been planning an extended tour and switched to a tout terrain silk road with discs Rohloff, supernova hub dynamo and plug2. I was looking for a secure way of protecting these expensive components and came across Atomic22. I have been using their system for the last 5mths and 6000km on an extended tour. They have had to cope with some very rough roads and tracks. I find Atomic22 easier to use than the Pitlocks, it is far easier to torque up the wheel skewers and the system also protects my headset and plug2. The skewers are very nicely machined and it is very easy to take the wheel off with the driver and locking bit to hand.
You can protect as many components on your bike as your wallet allows.
I have put a review up on my blog
