Thorn Raven Sport Tour (Red) - 536L
« on: October 21, 2013, 07:15:27 PM »
Admittedly I have just joined here to post this advert, so.....

I am only considering selling this as I have too many bikes and this is the one I use the least.
It's a really good bike for use, particularly in bad weather or throughout the winter (unfortunately I've got other "bad weather" bikes as well)
I bought the bike new in mid-2006 and it has travelled 3,546 miles since then. (217 miles this year, 311 in 2012 and 240 in 2011 - I could go on!)
The Rohloff hub has had regular (but in view of the low mileages not annual) oil changes.

I have the original receipt and some of the details on there are:

Standover = 825
S=910 L=45 B=80 R=530

44T 104mm reversible single chaninring
Wide carbon fibre mudguards
27.2mm Mr Control Carbon seatpost
Fizik Vitesse CP3 black unisex saddle
Profile bottle cage - original design (x2)
Thorn carbon anatomic bar ends / cork grips
Shimano M520 SPD pedals
Cateye Astrale 8 CC-CD200N computer (including cadence)
90mm +/- 10 degree Thorn Carbon composite front loading stem
536L frame and fork - bright red with black decals
Thorn lightweight carbon riser bar kit
XC717 ceramic rims
Deore wheel upgrades
Rohloff speedhub 500/14 (black) with 16T sprocket
Shimano Deore V-brakes
175mm Deore cranks

There are a couple of pictures here: https://www.dropbox.com/sh/etpyesv4tdfpf6s/k8Y9xtBULX
The bike does need a good clean at the moment though!
It is in good condition but there will, invariably, be some small marks from bike locks / general use etc
If you've any questions just contact me.

The bike is located in Amersham, Bucks. If anyone wants to come and view it that'd be fine.
It would need to be collected as I do not want to get involved in packaging and posting.
(Please note that I am away from Oct 25 to Oct 31 so it could not be viewed or collected then)

I don't really know the value.
When purchased it cost over £2,300 - when new the specification was put together regardless of cost.
From looking at recent adverts that I can find I think a price of £1,200 is reasonable
However, if you think I'm miles out then I'm open to offers.
(And if my guesstimate is way too low then I'd happily accept more!!)
