Thorn nomad MK1 S&S Rings.
« on: May 19, 2013, 11:49:23 AM »
I posted this to CTC forum and no sale so far, and told to post it here.
I hope it goes well.

Green Thorn nomad mk1 up for sale.
Bought it second hand and kept for 6month and selling it for £1300 ONO, since it requires little service and needs quick cash   .

Size : 512L (Not so sure but seems quite right, Im about 5.8ft and very fine with this size.)
Front wheel : Son dynamo 32 whole hub with Mavic X517 rim, Fatfrank tyre
Rear wheel : Rohloff boxed 32 whole hub with Mavic X517 rim, Fatfrank tyre
Chainset : Middleburn RS7 square taper with 46T ring
Brakes : Deore XT
Handlebar and grip : NC-17 trekking bar and Ergon GP1 grip
Seatpost and Saddle : USE seat post and unknown saddle. (Used to have brooks but stolen  and replaced new saddle bought from flea market)
Pannier : Thorn Expedition rear pannier and Tubus Tara front low rider, also got handlebar bag holder
Light : Busch Muller Lumotec front and Toplight rear

This bike runs very smooth but need to replace or service shifter as the rubber part is worn out, hub runs without any problem and shifts well. Also it has equipped tout terrain the plug but not working. Saddle needs to be replaced.

I will ship this bike mainland UK.
Preferable if collected in London.

Thank you

I'm thinking this probably isn't a MkII. The MkII has that gusset at the bottom of the joint between the down tube and the head tube. Also the top tube of the MkII has a steeper slope - it's just about a right angle where it meets the seat tube.

Probably as many people will prefer the older version - I guess it's a MkI? - as the later version! Hope it finds a new home soon!

Hi,

Would it be possible to have a look at this bike sometime?  I'm in London.

Thanks, Barry

It was indeed MK1, Thank you very much Sir!

That was the reason that I couldn't find right size.

Right size is 512L. Thanks again.

Hello -

I spotted this on Gumtree. I am however 5"5' so I am not sure if this bike will fit me Top-tube wise.

I can't find a size brochure for the MK1.

Do you have the virtual top tube length for this please? Then I can measure my roadster reach (similar bar)

Thanking you :)
Pedal to the metal! Wind, rain, hills, braking power permitting ;)

What about the 512s Raven Tour on ebay at the moment? Probably much closer to your desired top tube

On the watch list. Low ATM but e-bay anything can happen.

It's collection only though...I'd be mad enough to get it would it go for right price and seller can wait as I would need a plane + train or ferry + train.
