Sold for £821.00 Quite a good price for the hub so you get the rest for nowt!

Seems the used bike market is just as unfathomable as the used car one. Don't get me started on used cars: Found myself a used BMW1 today. The dealer was unable to lay his hands on the MOT ( Rego ) but could supply a new one if I bought the car. Yeah right and I look like Sugar Plumb Fairy! On reflection perhaps the used bike market is not quite so bad after all; you rarely come across a bike that is a real lemon being dressed up as the Mutts ****!!!! Thus endeth the sermon... :)

Hello to everyone on the forum. I am the new owner of this thorn and have just come across both the forum and this post. Just to let you all know the bike is all striped down and some replacement parts ordered. There is one or two other jobs on my list such as rebuild of the rear wheel and to have some braze ons sorted but the post gives me some hope that it will be worth it. Can't wait to get riding, the plan being to complete the lejog next year and a few weekends away as well!! Cheers Nick.

Hi Nemo, and welcome to the Thorn Cycling Forum!

Congratulations on winning a wonderful bike at auction, and one that will soon be "all yours" thanks to the personalized modifications. We can't wait to see how it all comes out, and photos in the gallery would be a real treat.

Looking forward to your future LEJOG ride report as well.

Best,

Dan.
