Hi All!
It is the morning of America's Thanksgiving holiday. As I write, the turkey is roasting in the oven and the Great Seagull-Crow battle is going on noisily outside my window as a large murder of crows defend their territory against a storm-blown flock of gulls. Reinforcements are coming from either side, and the din of battle grows ever louder.
Against this backdrop, I'm having fun exploring some long-deferred bicycle links. Among them is Italian Franco Spernicelli's page of old bicycles. He's selling these from a sizable collection, and the photos are well worth a look. Exquisite in detail and execution, the photos and English-option descriptions should while away a few pleasant minutes for any fan of older, classic bikes from the 1930s, '40s, and '50s. Chaincases! Comfort bars! Mudguards as Art! Intricate decals and transfers! These aren't the usual lightweights, and some have even avoided the temptation to over-restore.
