which gps map to include laos?

Does anyone have any experience of GPS map product that would include coverage of Thailand and Laos i intend, eventually to make it to Perth(Aus.) so complete coverage from bkk to perth would possibly save me some money in the long run but s e Asia including Thailand would be a start.I have a etrex hcx. seems garmin maps do not have the coverage(Laos). i was a little weary whether other maps will be compatible with my device.
