eBay from SJS Cycles: Used 512L RST

Not mine.
2006 Thorn Raven Sport Tour, size 512L (Size is ideal for a rider of 5ft 10 to 6ft 1). Green with black components, Rohloff, Deore;, straight 'bars, alloy rear rack, SKS mudguards.

SJSC say: This bike is in great condition with the majority of the parts still being the originals supplied with the bike. There is the odd mark but nothing major in the way of paint chips/scratches etc. Included in the sale is a copy of the original purchase invoice; the bike cost over £1600 when new! Many photos.

Funny how the description and photos don't match. It says "Thorn 969 double butted tubes" and "Fork: Thorn 531 Twin Plate" what indicates Thorn Raven, but the photos clearly show the RST which is Reynolds 853 and list gauge forks. Also says "Black Gloss" but for a black bike the one in the photos is very green... The geometry doesn't make sense either, it says "512L" in one place and "586L" in the other, that's three sizes apart! There is 511L RST but no 512L which is again RT size, both sizes are definitely way too small for someone 6'1, and in any case the RST chainstays do not go up to 440 mm, even on the largest sizes. So before you bid, ask SJSC what they are actually selling.

That is excellent advice, Thorn have previous for this in selling ex-demo or used bikes.

The Nomad Mk2 X series currently on sale on SJSC website is supposedly a 540M, but some measurements quoted e.g. the standover heights, relates to the 565M.
