Looks like a great offer but I was checking out ebay to confirm the good price when i came across
Schwalbe Marathon Dureme Evolution Folding Double-Defense Tyre 26x2.0
What does it mean by Evolution? Are they the same as SJS are selling?
If so, the ebay ones are going at £39.99 + £3.99 postage
http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Schwalbe-Marathon-Dureme-Evolution-Folding-Double-Defense-Tyre-26x2-0-From-UK-/261166217437?pt=UK_sportsleisure_cycling_bikeparts_SR&hash=item3cceb838dd

I know the price difference is minimal but I was wondering about the term Dureme more than anything.

Thanks
Matt

While scanning ebay I noticed that the 700 size tyres are costing less than the 26 inch tyres.
What's that all about?
Is it the bigger whole in the middle that makes them cheaper?

What does it mean by Evolution?

From a Schwalbe box:

"Evolution Line: The best possible. Highest quality materials. The latest technology.

Performance Line: Excellent quality for intensive use.

Active Line: Reliable brand quality."

The SJS description at the SJS site includes the word "Evolution" so that ought to be what you're getting. Mostly it seems that folding tires are Evolution and wired bead are Performance.

Economies of scale basically, 700c tyres are far more popular in mainland Europe and hence they make more of them, longer production runs etc.
