Apologies if I’m teaching my proverbial granny to suck eggs but, after a bit of rummaging on the net I came across this product. It’s an aerosol lubricant/cleaner. I used a couple of squirts on my very mucky chain and then turned the pedals oh circa 30 times. I wiped the chain down with a rag. My chain now looks much cleaner, free from dirt and runs more smoothly.
I’ve seen it used with one of those chain cleaning devices from Park and imagine it’s more effective than what I did.
In UK it’s available from Halfords, Tool station, Asda and sometimes Aldi.
Well worth considering, particularly if you don’t/can’t use a Hebie.
