TRP Spyke problems

I'm having problems with my front TRP Spyke brake on my Mercury Mk3.
It's very noisy & makes the fork shudder.
I've checked the caliper alignment & changed pads, but it's still the same.
The rotors seem fine too.
Any ideas what the problem could be?

Instead of the brake, could the problem be your headset? If there is too much play in the headset (e.g. because you didn’t tighten the headset cap screw properly), then of course the fork will shudder when braking.

Headset is fine?  Or the braking is fine?

If braking is still a problem, perhaps cleaning off the rotor with alcohol to remove any oils?

Possibly slightly loose rotor screw(s)? Perhaps remove the rotor and give it a good scrub with some wire wool and refit with some new threadlocker on the screws.

I've given the rotors & pads a good clean & roughed up the pads a bit.
This seems to have quietened it down.
Let's see how long it lasts!

Noisy brakes can be a substitute for a bell and sometimes more effective!

SA XL-FDD dyno DRUM brake is the Jeopardy answer Alex.
My first one has 30,000 miles. ZERO squeaks, zero fuss in any weather. Did 95% of the stopping in SE Asia on the first tour, with a POS caliper on the back. LOL. I crossed the B.C. mountains with that setup as well. I didn't even change the cable for 20,000 miles. It's now on it's 3rd bike. Also soon to get my hand-me-down Edelux light.
Disc fork will support it fine. Use 2.3/ 2.0 spokes for sure. My Dyad rims are all good as new, with 36 mm tyres.

My TRP Spyre cable disc on the Rohloff never squeaked with resin brakes. Stops on a dime every time.
The pads only went 5,300 miles. I never cleaned the disc either. LOL
