Hi there - long time 'lurker', first time poster - hope it's not a breach of etiquette that my first post is a sale item.
I'm selling my Voyager tandem with the following spec:
20/18 (seat tubes measured centre to centre) black steel frame with silver decals and Shimano STX headset
Front wheel: 26 Sun Rhyno rim laced to Shimano HB-HF05 hub with 40 spokes and QR
Rear wheel: 26 Sun Rhyno rim laced to Shimano FH-HF07 hub with 40 spokes, QR and 7 speed cassette.
Boardwalk tyres with reflective strip - budget, but comfortable and seem to be reasonably hardwearing. Tubes with Presta valves front and rear.
Gear shifters: Sachs Power Grip Wavey. RH - 7 speed indexed for the rear mech, LH - multi-click non-indexed for the front mech (which makes trimming on the fly a doddle).
Shimano STX rear mech
Suntour XCM 3040 front mech
Chainset: 48/38/28 with Cro Magnon 170mm cranks front and rear. Wellgo platform pedals on the rear and equivalent on the front.
Brakes: Dia-Compe direct pull levers, which work really well with the Dia-Compe Versa Control 737 V-brakes. The brake lever housings are mottled, but this is just cosmetic.
Kalloy Uno stem and straight bars with Bike Hut lock-on grips for the pilot; Serfas rubber grips for the stoker.
Specialised saddle up front and Netta gel on the rear (not nearly as comfortable as it sounds!)
It has always been kept undercover, and in the last 10 years only ridden in fine weather. There are inevitable paint chips and superficial rust spots, but this is a solid, well-looked-after bike that would be an excellent first tandem.
Id love to keep it, but there isnt room in the shed for two, and the new one is arriving soon
Hoping for around £350 but happy to consider offers.
Collection from TA11, or I could possibly deliver to places on my commute (e.g. Wincanton, Gillingham, Shaftesbury, Blandford, Wimborne).
