I surely like love my own Nomad Mk2 in the same 590M frame size. I found -- for me -- it was possible to achieve my normal, comfortable touring position with compact-reach drops and a 60mm stem and still have superb handling loaded or unladen.

Just tossing that out there in case someone wants a similar setup. The ad copy says, "It is unlikely to be suitable for dropped bars" which may generally be true, but it works for me.  :)

Best,

Dan.

I also like drop bars.  Mine is same size, same color, but I have S&S.

They did not say if the fork steerer tube was cut or not, if you know anyone that is interested they should verify first that there is enough steerer tube to meet their needs.

I can't imagine why the headset is not complete, it would have come with a complete headset from SJS.  I do not know if a wrench comes with the non-S&S version, a wrench came with mine for use on both the eccentric and the S&S couplers.

There are a few nicks in the paint, but it is an expedition bike, there are supposed to be nicks in the paint.  But I really think my paint has fewer nicks in it than that one - but some of the clear coat on mine peeled off, so not sure which is worse.

Mine came with an extremely useful pin wrench for the eccentric that also combined an 8mm ox wrench for manually shifting the Rohloff EX box in case of cable failure and an open-end wrench that works on pedals and the eccentric bolts.

Good point about checking the steerer length, mickeg; I use all uncut 400mm of mine in one way or another.

I also notice the rear rack (offered separately) is attached directly to the dropouts with 5mm bolts. Mine uses Thorn's stainless 1-into-2 adapter (6mm attached by two 5mm bolts). I like it for the added width at the mounts and for the extra-stout fasteners, but really only required if you use a disc brake on the rear.

I can't figure what's going on with the headset. Sounds like the cartridge bearings are missing.

Best,

Dan.
