Anto,

Are there any firms or friends nearby who will let you try before buying? Here in the States, Bill Laine at Wallingford Cycles offers a 6-month unconditional guarantee on his Brooks saddles, so a risk-free opportunity.

I've heard good things about Imperials, but if you're getting numbing if the pudendal nerve, there's cost-free things yo can try, including moving the saddle fore and aft on its rails and (most importantly), adjusting the angle. As an alternative, raising the stem and/or shortening reach can sometimes make a huge difference in easing crotch numbness.

Sure worth a try, and I'd get out my wrenches first to see if it worked before reaching for my wallet.

What kind of saddle are you using currently? If not a Brooks, then a change to a different covered-foam-over plastic saddle can often be made for  less cost. Before going with Brooks, I was a big fan of the "two-bump" saddles. My favorite was the Avocet Touring II back in the day, but numerous Italian touring saddles of the era shared a similar design.

All the best,

Dan.

I'm a big believer in going wider before you start messing around with desperate measures like saddes with cutouts.

Assuming that your present saddle is position right in the fore and aft plane, and angled right, and that your handlebar position is optimum for the saddle design and its positioning (most should really be higher by inches rather than centimeters)...

...and you still think a cutout is likely to help, if you have an old leather saddle, you can make the cutout yourself with a sharp blade, and ride it for several weeks to see whether it works for you.

Cheers Lads ,after much adjusting  on saddle height and bar set up i think i have it nailed ,im riding the fizik alanti saddle but in the last few months with the problems im having i get numbness ,it actually started when i was riding the tandem which was way to big for me .im super comfy on my bike  just that i reckon a cut out might just work.
when i had the sherpa i had the brooks b17 special great saddle out of the box didn't  need to break it in .

Ah, yes. Anto, it is likely you bruised the area or compressed the nerve then, and it just hasn't had time to recover. If the Fizik saddle worked before and you've got the position dialed-in, then I think I'd give it awhile to see if sensation returns. It can take awhile before nerves recover.

All the best,

Dan.
